Practical industrial supply-chain guidance
General industry information. Confirm requirements for your specific product, route, equipment and site.

Start with an accurate scope
Document the goods or equipment, technical specification, origin and destination, delivery date, loading and unloading conditions and the parties responsible for each stage.
Qualify the service providers
Review appropriate operator registrations, available capacity, product-specific controls, inspection evidence and the commercial terms before placing an order.
Plan for exceptions
Include contingencies for route delays, alternative supplier capacity, damaged cargo, critical spares and acceptance criteria. A logistics plan is only useful when it can be adapted to real conditions.
This information is introductory. Obtain the relevant technical or regulatory review for your operation.
